We started our excursion to the East Coast with a stop near Washington D.C. to visit friends and see the sights. Mini-golf was first on the list, along with a ride on a miniature train, swimming in a big pool, seeing fireflies while roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, and ice cream at Friendly's.
We started our walk through D.C. by visiting the Arlington National Cemetery. There were also "Fletchers" buried there.Tomb of the Unknown Soldier where we watched the Changing of the Guard on the hottest day of the year. We felt for the soldiers as we dripped!
